US retailer Ritz Camera announced the Delta 2 RZ or D2-RZ in late 1978.[1] It appears to be a rebadged Topcon RM 300 but with a distinctive "rugged" diamond-pattern covering which had become a Ritz trademark.[2] A Quantaray-branded 55mm f/1.7 lens was the standard lens, but numerous other K mount lenses can be attached. The vertically-traveling shutter permits a respectable 1/125 second flash sync speed, and there is a PC socket (originally capped) above the self-timer lever.

  2. Grippy "ruggedized" re-covering was offered for many SLRs of the day. August, 1977, Popular Photography (Vol. 81, No. 2; page 191).
