The Praktiflex mount was a screw thread lens mount, with a diameter of 40mm (M40), introduced 1938 with the Praktiflex, a 35mm SLR by KW.

From 1947 KW abandoned the 40mm mount and switched to the 42mm screw mount. Today most of the Praktiflex lenses are rare.
