Praktica BX20S

The Praktica BX20S is the last 35mm SLR made in Germany. It was developed by VEB Pentacon already before 1989 and is the direct successor of the Praktica BX20 and shares almost the entire set of specifications with it. After the end of the DDR and the German re-unification the company Schneider-Kreuznach took over the SLR production in Dresden and produced the BX20S from 1992 to 1999 (about 33,000 units), and again later in 2001 (under the name of Pentacon GmbH) a small last series of 100 units.
