Pentax Espio/IQZoom 105SW

Pentax Espio 105SW is a 35mm compact camera with autofocus and zoom lens, is is part of the Pentax Espio IQZoom series issued by Pentax in 2001. It is also known as the IQZoom 105SW.

It uses a SMC Pentax 28-105mm f/5.6-11.5 zoom lens made for 6 element in 5 groups. It uses a five point auto focus system with a focus range of 0.5m to infinity. An illumination light is available that can aid in focusing in low light situations. The shutter speed range is from 2 sec. to 1/360. The bulb mode is from 1/2 a sec. to 2min. The self-timer has a delay of 10 seconds.

Film is automatically loaded, advanced and rewound. Mid-roll rewind can be done, by using the strap tool to press the small button by the tripod bush. It is compatible with DX encoded films from 25 to 3200 ISO. Non-coded films are set at 25 ISO. It is powered by a single CR2 battery which is only capable of powering 8 rolls of film.

Date models are also available. It is capable of imprinting formats such as Year/Month/Day, Day/Hour/Minute, Month/Day/Year and Day/Month/Year. The year can be recorded up to 2100.

Pentax Espio/IQZoom 120SW

A variation with the same body was also available as the Espio 120SW and as the IQZoom 120SW. The primary difference is the 28-120mm zoom lens.
