The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 is a typical bridge camera. In co-operation with Leica they produced a full range of these compact and light weight multi-functional system cameras with a fixed zoomlens of high quality.
The FZ8 was the first in the FZ range that had the ability to shoot in RAW format, a big improvement for the advanced photographer who wanted to travel light. It replaced the Lumix DMC-FZ7 release a year earlier.
