The Nikon Coolpix 885 is part of the Coolpix series of digital cameras announced by Nikon on 23 August, 2001. It was available in black or silver finish.

It uses a 3.2 megapixel CCD sensor which produces a maximum resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 in either JPEG or TIFF. The lens is 3x optical zoom design. The back has a 110,000 dot 1.5" color LCD display. Photos are stored onto CompactFlash memory. It can be powered by a 2CR5 lithium battery or rechargeable Nikon EN-EL1.
