Nihon Shashin Kōgaku Kōgyōsha
The name Nihon Shashin Kōgaku Kōgyōsha (日本写真光学工業社, meaning "Japanese Photographic and Optical Industrial Company") is reported by one source as offering the Bolex New in 1946.[1] It was probably related to the earlier Nittō Shashin Kōgaku Kōgyōsha and Teikoku Shashin Kōgaku Kōgyōsha, known from advertisements for the Bolex dated respectively 1940 and 1944, and whose name means about the same.
This company was certainly not related to Nihon Shashin Kōgyō, which made the Orchid SLR prototype at the same period (1946–7).
