This is a so-called detective camera made of mahogany. It contains 12 plates of 9x12 cm. Lens: brass type: Aplanat 130mm f8. Rotary shutter. The plates are moved to and from in the wooden vessel on top of the camera. Made by Emil Wünsche from 1889 to 1893.

This detective camera is a special kind of falling plate magazine camera. After exposure the camera can be turned top-down so that the plateholder with the enlighted plate falls into the vessel. Then the vessel is shifted to the back where the plateholder with the plate falls back into the plate magazine when the camera is turned top-up again.
