The 4x5 version of the Kardan-Color has a solid cast piece surrounding the tubular monorail, like the [[Linhof Color 4x5]], and inherits the locking-strut back tilts of the Technika series. The 5x7 and 8x10 Kardan-Color are very different designs, with open yokes for both front and rear standards with tilts centered on the optical axis.

This large-format camera series from Linhof dates from the 1960s.

The 4x5 version of the Kardan Color has a solid cast piece surrounding the tubular monorail, like the Linhof Color 4x5, and inherits the locking-strut back tilts of the Technika series. The 5x7 and 8x10 Kardan Color are very different designs, with open yokes for both front and rear standards with tilts centered on the optical axis.
