Notes

  1. I am very much indebted to Peter Lanczak (Germany/France) for his data set which augmented mine (GitzoCollector).
  2. A1615 is the lowest known serial number (based on over 100 silver trimmed units known). The number A1615 is shown in the initial 1963 promotional brochure for the Koni-Omega Rapid. This makes little sense, unless one assumes that Konica's production numbering followed on from where the production run of the Simmon Omega 120 left off. The overall, 'missing', quantity is indeed in the ballpark of the production numbers documented for the Omega 120.
  3. It seems that the units badged as 'Konica Press' were taken from the main production run and merely furnished with a differently badged rangefinder housing.
  4. The military model is built-identical with the Rapid-Omega 200, and as far as can be discerned from the serial numbers, the units supplied to the military were taken from the main production run and furnished with the military specifications tag affixed to the base of the camera.
  5. I am very much indebted to Peter Lanczak (Germany/France) for his data set which augmented mine (GitzoCollector).
