Gaumont's Block-Notes was an early vest pocket strut folding camera for 4.5x6cm film plates. The front lens of its viewfinder was in a frame that was shifted automatically upon the lens board when the cameras was folded. The shutter was cocked by folding and unfolding the camera. The photo above shows it with an optional plates cassette. It was available as sophisticated version with a fast Krauss or Krauss-Zeiss lens and focusablility via struts, or as nonfocusable version with simple f9 anastigmat triplet lens. A stereo variant was also available.
