The Futura S is a high-grade rangefinder camera made from 1952 by Futura Kamerawerk GmbH, made for Futura's interchangeable lenses. The "S" stood for Synchro-Compur shutter.
It is considered that about 9,000 pieces were made.
Technical specifications
- Optical universal viewfinder for focal lengthes 35-100mm, with superimposed coupled rangefinder
- special Futura threaded lens mount variant able to take the Futura Tele-Elor 5.6/90
- Synchro Compur leaf shutter with speeds from 1 to 1/500 s + B
