The Ernemann Erni is a simple box camera for plates and film-packs. It is covered with leatherette and has a leather carrying strap. It has a simple shutter and fixed-focus lens. The simple design is the reason for the low price at the time. There are three sizes: 4.5×6, 6.5×9, and 9×12 cm.

A later (c.1926) model, the Ernette, was designed only for 4.5×6 film packs.
