Ensign Selfix Snapper

The Ross-Ensign Selfix Snapper is a medium format, self-erecting folding camera designed to take 6x9cm (2 ¼ x 3 ¼") on 620 film made by Ensign c.1953.[1]
Description
The Selfix Snapper is a simple viewfinder camera with a cast metal body in grey crackle-finish paint.[2].
The top of the camera has a small pyramidal housing with a centered eye-level optical finder. There is also a small button to release the front door close to the right-hand wheel. There is no shutter release button. The lens is a simple meniscus, mounted on a 2-position - B & I - shutter. Focus distances are marked "yards-metres". Underneath the lens there is a curved plate screwed to the shutter plate with the camera model name "Ensign Snapper".
The first model has the shutter release lever on the camera's left side, the next model has it on the right side. It now has a slightly different nameplate with two apertures marked N and B (Normal and Bright?) and the shutter is synchronised. An accessory shoe has been added, mounted on top of the viewfinder. The Selfix Snapper dimensions are 9 x 15.5 x 3.5cm (closed) or 9 x 15.5 x 13cm (opened).
