Employees of the former Franke & Heidecke managed to relaunch the production of some of the insolvent company's products. Therefore they founded the DHW Fototechnik GmbH. DHW had its successful debut at the Photokina 2010, having found new customers, especially on South-East Asia. Main products were the Rollei 35, the Rolleiflex and the professional Rolleiflex Hy6.

DHW Fototechnik GmbH filed for insolvency on the 15th August 2014 and was liquidated in early 2015.
The rights for the trade marks "Rollei" and "Rolleifex" were bought by the RCP Technik Verwaltungs-GmbH in Hamburg, Germany.
