History

Cimark was originally founded in 1979 under the name Cima America, Inc.. They distributed lenses and other camera equipment under the Cimark brand name beginning as early 1988[1]. In 1994, the company changed their name to Cimark International, Inc. when they began exporting US-made photo gear to other countries. In addition to 35mm SLR lenses, the company also sold enlarging lenses, projection lenses, and CCTV lenses. The company also distributed Cosina 35mm SLR cameras in the US.
