The Argus Argoflex E was a geared-lens TLR made from 1940 to 1948, with production interrupted when Argus diverted its resources to WWII military contracts. The bakelite camera had a pair of 3-element Argus Varex 75mm f4.5 lenses and a Wollensak shutter. In the postwar 1946-1948 version, the lenses were coated[1]

Most versions of the camera are able to use either 620 or 120 film, thanks to a stepped wind key—despite being labeled "Use 620 only" inside. A few very late models lack this feature.
