The Adox 66 is a bakelite box camera. The lens of its brilliant finder is directly over the taking lens, giving the camera something of the look of a pseudo TLR. It was made by Hermann Wolf GmbH, Wuppertal, Germany, for the Adox company. Wolf made a similar model named Gevabox for Gevaert in Belgium. Wolf's own name for that camera was Luxa 66.

The camera has a focusing f/8 meniscus lens, choice between instant and time mode, and choice between the two apertures f/8 and f/11. It has a tripod thread in the bottom, and a cable release socket in the top.
