3M (from Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing company) is an American enterprise founded in 1902. 3M have been a major manufacturer of film, which is often rebranded for other companies, and various materials involved in film making and photo processing and printing. Among many other products were cameras, microfilm cameras as well as some consumer photocameras under its own name and others such as the Italian Ferrania company, bought by 3M in 1964, and the American Revere companies.

All of 3M's photographic products (along with its data storage business) were included in a spin-off company Imation in 1996. This company subsequently narrowed its focus to computer storage media exclusively.
